AVIS Bank Development
Bank adventure
Before the Reserve Bank finally granted us our Tier-1 banking licence last June, the formal process was a challenge between bureaucrats and outdated systems. It was necessary to search worldwide documents for licence validation that had been used in Europe years ago and were no longer in use, or were completely non-existent. The participating teams went on a terrifying experience as a result of this. However, the recruitment of senior bank executives was the real issue. Many local bank experts knocked on our door and made promises about heaven's stars and the earth's treasures. However, those who are expected to complete crucial tasks inside the framework have been surprisingly missing for days before reporting back from their much-needed vacations so far. They understood some days of work must be compensated in weeks of holidays, and a high volume of salary payments received instantly. The cash we sent to Zimbabwe, meanwhile, should cover all costs there, but the funds mysteriously vanished from everywhere.
Regardless, we convinced ourselves that we would maintain our position, even though we have always understood that such scenes are to be expected in sovereign nations. In the end, everything went as planned, and we got what we wanted. Establishing a merchant and clearing bank at such formatting rarely could be achieved in Europe.
Interims Bank Buildings
Branches and rep-offices in many countries we're launching and, we're connecting all existing bank payment facilities and a unique card program for the world.
MasterCard offered to partner with AVIS for its unique card management and high-volume acquiring service.

We are building our infrastructure into an interesting country-style complex and thinking outside the box because if the profession is also a person's passion and muse, they will excel at it.
We continue to work on the completion of the bank project until we have built our own infrastructure. Furthermore, we are planning to build the AVIS “financial HUB” on 5000ha of land near Victoria, embedded in the fantastic natural landscape.
The realization of a plan once written on paper, drawn by experts, and calculated by clever minds. And hard work, always striving towards the goal, always pays off.
At the same time, we are now in a position to complete the takeover of a historic bank. A local bank that has been self-sustaining despite the adverse local circumstances. With a good 500 employees, the infrastructure that has grown over many years will help us to complete the AVIS Bank Project in Africa.
AVIS team, making a dream come true with AVIS Bank, is like magic. For the last 17 years, we have worked with external institutions in managing our company's assets and raising the proposed construction funds.
We acquired financial institutions, mutual funds, and brokers to develop the AVIS financial model required to finance our global mega project.
Did we finally make it? We wanted to reach for the stars and aim high, and yes, we did it. And yes, all the stars, the moon, and everything in between. The risks taken paid off and brought us closer to the ultimate final goal.
The commercial bank licence opens all the doors for AVIS and our franchise system in the form of technology activations in order to seamlessly carry payment transactions in large-scale industries around the world. We had to completely redefine the term “Bank”.
In a rapidly turning world that is reforming itself, in which the motto is: “Go big or go home”. We didn't choose “big” quickly, because we stayed for a long time, hoping that we could do our part to make our environment a little better.
