The basic software consisting of over 1000 individual programs of tailor-made units was developed over 30 years by a team member with basic experience in bank payment systems. He learned the card payment software system logistics during a decade as a software manager at the VISA card corporation.

The AVIS SWITCH software is a fundamentally unique system that allows AVIS to create its own worldwide, borderless and unlimited card program sponsored by the American Banker Association (ABA) similar to AMEX with new special features. The technology creates SWIFT licences (ABIQ), international IBAN numbers and direct debit functionality (GPI).
